In the past, when people communicated about designs in progress, they shipped paper drawings and materials back and forth. This was expensive; it delayed product development and prevented global collaboration. Also when client get their product (paper drawings and materials), they can’t satisfied about it. Because they are spend time and extra money to import it! Unfortunately import things are not enough quality or not enough to reaching clients expected satisfaction.
To address these issues, Open design communities wanted to create an on-line collaboration environment in which documents could be sent and viewed around the world using the Internet. The hope was to allow designers and general people who want to provide input on projects in real time, whether a project was initiated at locally.
These actions caused developing local design activities.
Local design’s aim is to structure a global system that enable manufacturing to be localized according to regional demand, rather than the alternative in which the product is designed or manufactured in a single country.
Using local materials, concern about local feature and make new creative things!!
Through this localdesign work, we can more developed design also concern about sustainable design too.
